Leeds Town Hall Tours

Leeds Town Hall is truly one of the finest examples of Victorian civic architecture in Europe and one of the most attractive Town Halls in the world – an iconic structure of which we can all be proud. You may know the outline of the tower from a thousand photos, or have seen the opulent interior of the Victoria Hall, but there is another, hidden, secret side to the building.

This tour is your chance to stand at the dock where prisoners once stood to hear their sentence, or sit at the judge’s bench of the Borough Court, to descend the stone steps into the dank and dark prison cells below, but also to climb the 203 steps to the top of the clock tower to see the clock itself, and a view of Leeds unlike any other.
Please note: access to the Town Hall clock tower is by stairs only. We will endeavour to include the Victoria Hall in these tours, however as the Town Hall is a working building, this may not always be possible.
